About MakeShift Robotics
MakeShift is a high school robotics team from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Our mission is, in a team environment, to allow student team members to work alongside adult professionals to experience the agony and thrills of a science/technology career in the pursuit of a competitive, student-built robot.

You can spot MakeShift and our robot as we join the St. Mary Drumline for the evening Waterdown Santa Claus parade each year. We have also been recognized with the “Best Overall Effort” award at the Dundas Cactus Parade! |

Robots Rule |
Joining other FRC teams from across Ontario, MakeShift presents interactive robot demonstrations at the Ontario Science Center. |

Hamilton Mini Maker Faire |
This is an annual faire held at the Hamilton Steam Museum. We set up a field and demonstrate our robot to attendees. |

Terry Fox Run |
Our robot and team raise sponsors and join in on the walk, run in September. We move to different locations in our area. |

Ancaster Fair |
In the fall, our robot demonstrates at the Ancaster Fair and ensure we are there during sponsored school days. |

Sidewalk Science |
MakeShift prompted science themes, left behind chalk and return the next day to questions that they answer. |

Instants of Inspiration |
A MakeShift innovation, instants of inspiration are sessions where we show up unplanned with our robot and demonstrate to crowds waiting for a free Christmas meal or a movie theatre. |

Summer Camps |
MakeShift provides sessions for different age groups for summer camps when requested – developed the curriculum for Camp Waterdown, sessions at the YMCA day camp and University of Guelph STEM camp. |
